Benjamin is a true craftsman and really made us feel heard. When we started our journey, we... said we didn't know what we wanted, but we didn't want what we had. This was a full demo/reno down to the studs! New, floor, cabinets, paint, plumbing, lighting and electrical. He didn’t push us in a certain direction, or pressure us to keep up with the trends. He encouraged us to venture in our own direction, met us to shop for tile, paint and countertops and never made us feel like we were bothersome. We appreciated how he was really skilled at capturing our unique aesthetic. We also love seeing Norsemen out in the community, from Louisville’s Great Chili Cook off to the Belknap festival to supporting young entrepreneurs.To give more background about the remodel, our kitchen was remodeled back in September 2020. That's right, during covid lockdown! Benjamin and his crew made all appropriate efforts to maintain guidelines and we felt totally comfortable with them being in our home during a global pandemic. We just sold that house, 3 years later, and the investors that bought the house were thoroughly impressed with our Norsemen kitchen and these are people that look at A LOT of houses. Our beautiful updated kitchen definitely was a WOW feature and we absolutely got an optimum return on our investment in our kitchen even with selling it to an investor! $$$We have built a new house since, but we miss our Norsemen kitchen! From the molding to the trim, to all the other small details. Norsemen craftsmanship is amazing. We are so glad we remodeled sooner rather than later because we were able to enjoy the stunning space that was crafted for our family. We really got to appreciate the kitchen, and I encourage everyone that wants to enjoy their space more to remodel now! We look forward to working with Benjamin in our new house.read more

Our kitchen cabinets' and the granite countertop were in excellent condition, but the doors... and drawer fronts were in dire need of replacement. Norsemen did a phenomenal job remodeling our two bathrooms. We had never done a major remodel... before, and we decided to have them tackle both our bathrooms in the same summer. What makes any company stand out nowadays are not only their skills in their respective fields, but also a perfection of soft skills like communication, listening, politeness, and dependability. Norsemen is one of those rare companies with not only exceptional craftsmanship in every part of the job, but they have also gathered teams of contractors and workers who all seem to excel at customer service.We always knew what was going to be happening each day thanks to a shared calendar and daily communication with the project manager. Every single worker who came into our home treated all our spaces well. Messes were always cleaned up and contained at the end of the day. We had ideas of what we wanted our bathrooms to look like, but Norsemen pointed us to the right stores and sites to look for the finishes we wanted, and they have ladies who will do all the ordering for you, which really cuts down on the stress of a remodel. We were also able to purchase things on our own as well as do certain parts of the project on our own to cut down on costs, and they were extremely flexible with giving us those options. With each decision that needed to be made, we were always consulted and given advice when needed.It is obvious that they take pride in their work, and they take the time they need to do each part of the project correctly and to the highest standard. The tiler consulted with us on where to start the pattern, the electrician measured and marked lights so we could see exactly where they would be, towel racks were framed, shelves were beautifully custom made for the space, paint and trim were perfectly applied, and pipes were replaced in our old house. With the care they took in each part of the job, we know that the workmanship will last as long as our house does.The best part of using Norsemen has been their commitment to returning when needed. With some companies, you might never hear from them again or even know how to find them should something go wrong. Norsemen has continued to communicate well and hustled right back out to our house for a couple minor tweaks when we needed them.It is hard to find a company that checks all the boxes - quality, professionalism, dependability and genuinely nice guys and gals. We would not hesitate to use them again and again and again for any of our home renovation projects. The price you pay is well worth the peace of mind knowing you will be getting everything you wanted in your project. They will give you an amazing end product that will bring you joy, and not headaches, for years to come. We couldn't be happier!read more

I HIGHLY recommend Norsemen for any kitchen or bathroom remodeling project you may have. They... were so friendly, straightforward and helpful during our kitchen remodel.To give details, I own a house in Old Louisville that was built in the 1890s and is split into apartments. I didn't bother to include "before pictures" of the 2nd floor walkup kitchen they remodeled in this post, because it looked horrible before they came in.Norseman were willing to tackle this challenging project in an older house. Additionally, their quote for the project was very reasonable and much less than other quotes from other companies.They removed old cabinets, re-wired the electric, updated the plumbing, installed cabinets, new countertops, tile backsplash and installed the oven hood and dishwasher.They worked with us throughout the design steps and gave us a lot of choices for fixtures and hardware.100/100 I cannot be happier with the work that they did.read more
