A Day in the Life
– Read and interpret technical documents (blueprints, drawings, and sketches)
– Provide complete installation of all trim, doors, handrails and lock sets
– Construct and install shelving, built-ins or other custom units where designated
– Take accurate measurements, calculating how much of each item you will require
– Shaping and sanding the lumber accordingly
– Trim-related inspections and fixes/maintenance should be performed as needed
– Engage in direct communication with clients in a variety of settings
– Alongside the Project Manager, find solutions to any challenges that may occur

What You’ll Bring
– At least 3 years of general and trim carpentry experience
– Experience in home remodeling and other skills such as drywall, mudding and painting are a plus
– Be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
– Willing to learn the processes of our company
– References are a must
– Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials, and an excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
– Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
– Good understanding of basic math in all units of measure
– Efficient and effective problem solving skills, and ability to approach tasks with great attention to detail
– Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling
– Good written and verbal communication
– Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
